Our turnkey systems are packaged on a single skid type frame which includes a powerful disinfection process as well as proper filtration for the task at hand.
Constitution Square (above) in Washington D.C. is an example of the many systems CATEC has delivered. CATEC'S water reuse systems are used to treat captured rainwater from building roofs and select other sources. The water is disinfected and made suitable for toilet-flushing, wash water, irrigation systems, cooling tower make-up water as well as most other non-potable water applications. CATEC Rainwater/Condensate Reuse Systems are a turn-key skid which employ a powerful disinfection filtration system and delivery, all in one. All timers, sensors and controls come with the unit so there are no extras to buy. The systems arrive pre-plumbed and pre-wired. Once installed, a simple one time set-up is all it takes to get the system in service. We will even go to the site for start-up and training! A qualified plumber can usually install the system within two working days, depending on the scope of the project. Tanks can be above ground or below ground. The processed rainwater is pressurized and delivered "on demand" to the water utilities which the system services. Sensors in the tanks detect whether water is present in the tanks. If rainwater is not available, the system automatically switches to an alternate source and will continue feeding utilities hooked up to the system. Maintenance is simple and can be performed in a few minutes by general labor persons. Five to ten minutes once a month is typical. CATEC's Rainwater Reuse Systems are available in 10, 15, 35, 50, 80,100, 120, 150, 200 and 300 GPM All provide treated water On-demand to your selected water utilities. CATEC will produce custom designs, including tanking for any facility. We will assist you through all phases of installation, operation and maintenance so there is no guesswork. CATEC is proud to contribute to the Green Building by providing innovative water treatment and reuse products. Many of our products have allowed companies LEED points, which can offer substantial tax breaks and other incentives for businesses who obtain LEED qualification points. These incentives can be many more times the cost of the recycling system which can lead to an instant return on investment. The systems can also substantially lower water and sewer bills, again offering a quick return on investment. Reusing water without proper treatment can lead to health concerns and illness, which can become serious liability issues. In commercial / industrial applications, proper disinfection is a must! CATEC's powerful Ozone, UV or Chemical injection systems (we offer all three) destroys bacteria, spores, microbes and enzymes on contact, which ensures the water is safe for reuse. Onboard filtration is provided to remove particles greater than one micron. The systems will not release reuse water until it is up to a preset disinfection level.
