Water Reclaim Systems For Self-Service Type Washes Reclaiming a Self-Service wash can introduce some unique challenges because of uncontrolled substances that can enter the system. Unfortunately, some people see a self-service car wash as a dumping ground or a place to change their oil. CATEC systems are not immune to these situations however, they are very easily and inexpensively recovered if such dumping occurs. CATEC has many reclaim systems on self-service bays and has never had a catastrophic failure due to illegal dumping. Most of our competitors will not reclaim water from a self-service bay because it can ruin their systems. If their systems won't work in a self-service bay, it would only make sense that they are borderline in other applications. There are several precautions that can be taken to reduce this problem. CATEC will offer advice if you are interested in reclaiming your self-service bay water. Our CWR-DXP Series Systems are great for self-service applications. The systems use bag type filters, which are very inexpensive and very easy to change make sense in a self-service wash. The filters are dried out and thrown away which removes contamination from the entire system. An on-board evacuation wand de-waters the filter housing making filter changes quick, clean and easy. These filters will catch and filter out materials that may be a result of illegal dumping, removing contaminants from the system.
The onboard Auto-Bypass system will default to fresh water if there is a system or power failure. You can also pick and choose reclaim or fresh water with the press of a button. This is ideal for un attended washes. The onboard CATEC Ozone System helps to demulsify oils and waxes as well as killing off odor causing bacteria.
